Most questions are answered below. For anything else, email us — a person reads every message, usually within two working days.
Scanning needs a LiDAR sensor — Pro iPhones and iPad Pros on iOS 17 or later. On any other device the scan button doesn't appear, and drawing by hand produces exactly the same plan and pack. The scan also needs camera permission: Settings → Lintel → Camera.
Move slowly, keep the device pointed at the walls, and scan one room at a time — you can add rooms to the same capture. The scan supplies layout only; every wall stays editable afterwards, and dimensions always come from your tape measure. If a capture fails, "Draw manually instead" loses nothing.
The pack purchase is tied to your Apple ID. On a new device, or after reinstalling: Settings → Restore purchases. If a pack still shows as locked, check you're signed into the same Apple ID that bought it, then email us with your receipt.
Your data lives only on your device — we hold no copy and cannot recover it. Export a backup regularly (Settings → Export backup) and keep it somewhere safe; import it on the new device to carry everything across. A standard iOS device transfer also brings the app's data with it.
Use Generic (England) in the meantime — it covers any authority with a superset of common requirements. Then tell us the council and, if you can, a link to its licensing page. Templates ship over the air, so a new or corrected one arrives without an app update.
Certificate reminders are local notifications, so iOS must allow them: Settings → Lintel → Notifications. Reminders fire at 60, 30 and 7 days before expiry, then the item goes overdue on the dashboard — overdue items can be snoozed but never disappear.
Screenshots help enormously. Nothing you email us gives us access to your data — it stays on your device.
